 Wir möchten mit dieser Veranstaltung, möglichst ohne hohe Einstiegshürden, Menschen zusammenzubringen, deren Alltag durch Sorgetätigkeiten bestimmt wird. Die Veranstaltung will einen Raum zum informellen Austausch eröffnen, insbesondere Frauen*, die in Berlin und Potsdam leben zusammenbringen und ihnen den Austausch untereinander und mit Aktivistinnen ermöglichen, die sich für eine andere Praxis des Umgangs mit Sorgearbeit einsetzen. Wir möchten explizit geflüchtete Frauen ermuntern, zusammenzukommen und bemühen uns um Frauen*, die in diverse Sprachen Flüsterübersetzungen leisten.

Der zweite Teil der Veranstaltung beinhaltet die Vorstellung von Aktivistinnen-Gruppen und den Austausch über Möglichkeiten, die eigene Stimme zu erheben und sich Aktivistinnenzusammenhängen anzuschließen. Wichtiges Thema ist dabei auch die Flüchtlingsfrauenkonferenz, die Ende September in Berlin stattfindet.

Als Ausklang zeigen wir den Film Superfrauen gesucht, den wir in Flüsterübersetzung simultan übersetzen und die Audiospuren den Filmemacherinnen zur Verfügung stellen werden.

Ort: Projekthaus Potsdam, Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 164; kostenfreie Verpflegung, Übernachtung in 7-Bett-Zimmer (women* only) möglich

• 13-17 Uhr – informelles Zusammenkommen, Kochen und Austauschen über Alltagsgeschichten, Zugangsbarrieren zu Arbeitsmarkt, Bildung u.a. und Zukunftswünsche. Unter Beteiligung von Einzelpersonen und Projekten der Selbstorganisation von Frauen mit und ohne Fluchtgeschichte.
• 17-20 Uhr – öffentliche Diskussions-Veranstaltung mit Vorstellung möglicher Organisations- und Protestformen sowie alternativer Ansätze in Brandenburg und der Welt mit Women in Exile, Netzwerk Care Revolution Brandenburg und dem Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie Leipzig.
• 20-22 Uhr – Filmscreening zu Sorgearbeit „Superfrauen gesucht“ mit anschließendem informellen Ausklang

Für Übersetzung und Kinderbetreuung ist gesorgt.

Wir möchten insbesondere Frauen* dazu einladen, teilzuhaben, Erfahrungen zu teilen und gemeinsam in Ideen für eine sorgsamere Zukunft auszutauschen.

TAKE CARE – collectively into a new practice of dealing with care work

Let’s come together to exchange experiences and thoughts on dealing with care work in capitalistic society and our everyday life.

Where: Projekthaus Potsdam, Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 164; shared food and drinks, accomodation in a multi-bed room (women* only) possible

When: 12th of September, 13 o’clock (you can join any time)

Free of charge und full of shared experiences, all languages are welcome, interpretation to English, French and Arabic provided.

• 13-17h: coming and cooking together. Talking about everyday life, obstacles and barriers regarding the labour market, education and things a good life might need. What are your wishes for the future? With guests from projects of self-organized protests of women* with and without a refugees-history.
• 17-20h: public discussion with a presentation of possible forms of organizing and protest and with an introduction to alternative concepts of care work in Brandenburg and around the world. Together with: Women in Exile, Network Care Revolution Brandenburg and Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie Leipzig.
• 20-22h: film about care work („Superfrauen gesucht!“)

Registration is not required, but it would help us planning the meals and the accomodation, if you could send a short note to maria@das-kooperativ.org until Sat. 9th of September. If you want to stay overnight, please write an email!

Translation and childcare will be provided, so far into French and Arab. If you need another language or like to help translating, please write.

We especially want to invite women* to take part and to share their experiences and ideas for a better future of care work.

The event is part of the Week of Change (Wandelwoche) Berlin-Brandenburg 2017

Details about the event

With how many people do you share a flat? Who is cooking? Who is caring for you, when you‘re sick? Are these activities acknowledged, appreciated or paid? How much time do you have for your own needs?

With this event we would like to bring people together whose everyday life is determined and affected by care work. Together we try to create an open meeting, without high obstacles for participation and involvement.

We would like to open a space for an informal exchange and for women*, esp. those living in Berlin and Potsdam, to meet and to discuss with women*‘s activists, who speak up for a better and fair way of dealing with care work.

We explicitly would like to encourage refugee women* to come and share their their perspectives. We‘re trying to organize translations into different languages.

In the second part of the meeting women*‘s activist groups will present themselves and their work and we‘ll have the chance to exchange views on how to raise one‘s own voice by joining activist contexts. A central topic will also be the refugee women*‘s conference that will take place end of September in Berlin.

In the evening we are going to screen the film „Superfrauen gesucht“ („superwomen wanted“), for which we can provide simultaneous translations, that will be made available for the filmmakers later on.
