Save the date: BUKO 40 vom 2.-5. Oktober 2025 in Kassel
Inhaltlich wird sich der BUKO 40 mit den unterschiedlichen Facetten des Kolonialismus beschäftigen. Ob wir diesbezüglich eher von Kolonialismus, Postkolonialismus oder Neokolonialismus sprechen wollen, ist noch Teil der laufenden Diskussionen.
Am 2.Oktober 2025 werden wir den Kongress mit einem Aktionstag einleiten.
Am 2.Oktober 1904 wurde mit der Verkündung des sogenannten „Vernichtungsbefehls“ der deutsche Völkermord an den Ovaherero und Nama eingeleitet. Mehr als 100 Jahre später sind noch immer keine Reparationen geleistet und die Aufarbeitung der deutschen Kolonialzeit hat kaum stattgefunden. Wie sich das ändern kann, wollen wir u.a. beim BUKO40 mit euch diskutieren.
Die Folgen des Kolonialismus prägen aber auch die deutsche und europäischen Gesellschaften, Rassismus ist nach wie vor allgegenwärtig. Aber auch die neuen Formen von Energiekolonialismus beschäftigen uns genauso wie der antikoloniale Widerstand. Natürlich wollen wir dabei die jeweiligen Kämpfe aufeinander beziehen. Dabei können wir aber weder Antisemitismus noch (antimuslimischen) Rassismus gebrauchen.

Save the date: BUKO 40 from 2-5 October 2025 in Kassel
The wait is over, the time has finally come: the date for the next BUKO congress, BUKO40, has been set. Be there too when we meet in Kassel from 2-5 October 2024.
The content of BUKO 40 will deal with the different facets of colonialism. Whether we want to speak of colonialism, post-colonialism or neo-colonialism in this regard is still part of the ongoing discussions.
On 2 October 2025, we will start the congress with a day of action.
On 2 October 1904, the so-called ‘extermination order’ was proclaimed, initiating the German genocide against the Ovaherero and Nama. More than 100 years later, no reparations have been made and the German colonial era has hardly been addressed. How this can change is one of the things we want to discuss with you at BUKO40.
The consequences of colonialism also shape German and European societies, racism is still omnipresent. But we are also concerned with the new forms of energy colonialism as well as with anti-colonial resistance. Of course, we want to relate the respective struggles to each other. However, we cannot afford anti-Semitism or (anti-Muslim) racism in this process.
