Financialisation of nature. Old poison, rebottled.
The dogma of financialising nature is promising protection only for goods that have aprice tag. But what happens when nature becomes numeralised and tradable? On the basis of examples such as REDD or TEEB we will examine this new twist of capitalism. This workshop is also suitable as an introduction for the issue.
Das Dogma verspricht Schutz nur für die Güter, welche einen Preis haben. Doch was passiert, wenn Natur immer bezifferbar und handelbar gemacht wird? Anhand von Beispielen (z.B. REDD, TEEB) wollen wir uns dieser neuesten Drehung des Kapitalismus grundlegend widmen. Dieser Workshop ist auch als Einstieg in die Problematik geeignet.
