No Border movement in Serbia - Info-mobile Serbia (NoBorder Serbia)

Serbien gilt hauptsächlich als Transitland für viele Migrantinnen, die unter dem schlecht funktionierenden Asylsystem leiden und oft ungewollt stecken bleiben. Sie sind von der schlechten Unterbringung in überfüllten Aufnahmelagern betroffen, viele leben in Camps in den Wäldern, wo sie mit repressiven Polizeiangriffen konfrontiert sind. Sie werden illegal zurückgeschoben, einige gar durch Kettenabschiebungen nach Griechenland. Es gibt keine selbstorganisierten Kämpfe von Migrantinnen und nur wenig Unterstützung durch Aktivistinnen, welche zur Zeit versuchen, ein Info-Mobil zu etablieren. Ihre Aktivitäten bestehen in dem Anbieten jurist. Informationen für Migrantinnen, Grenz- und Lagerbeobachtung, Unterstützung der Anti-Detention-Kampagne in Ungarn und transnationaler Vernetzung. Die Aktivist_innen werden über diese, sowie die Vorbereitung des No-Border-Camps 2014 berichten. Außerdem wird die Situation in Serbien und Umgebung im Zuge der Anpassung an die EU-Regelungen beleuchtet.

Serbia is mainly a country of transit for many refugees. It has a dysfunctional asylum system which creates a difficult situation for refugees who often get stuck in Serbia. There are problems of accommodation, camps in the jungles and a bad situation in reception centres. Refugees often have to face serious police raids, illegal push-backs and deportations back to Serbia, it also comes to chain-deportaions from Hungary to Serbia, Macedonia and even Greece. There are no self-organized struggles of migrants and only a small group of activist to support migrants, recently trying to set up an info-mobile and support structures which involve activists from abroad. The current activities of this group are presented in the workshop, which include: providing legal information for migrants, border monitoring- including monitoring in the refugee camps, support of Anti-Detention-Campagne in Hungary and transnational networking. We will also talk about the preparation of the No-Border-Camp 2014 at the border of Croatia and Serbia. Furthermore the situation in the neighbouring countries and in Serbia after the last elections are presented which is affected by restrictive EU-norms.
